Presentation day

 

“ASM Technology Award” is the first time of ASM Pacific Technology Limited to organize a tertiary competition for Hong Kong institutions. The project submission was closed on Jun 15, 2015 (Mon) 23:59 (UTC+8). We have received considerable number of innovative projects nominated by the top faculties of local universities. A total of 15 teams are invited to conduct presentation and fight for the honor.

Presentation and final judging was held on Jun 29, 2015 at Hong Kong Office. Four prestigious judges offered great supports to select the best of the best.

Presentation Day

1.Date: 29 June 2015 (Monday)
2.Time: 09:00 – 19:30
3.Venue: ASMPT Hong Kong Office
4. Presentation time: 30 minutes (20 minutes:  presentation ; 10 minutes: Q&A session)
6.Presentation Format: Candidates can make use of posters or other materials to portray and visualize their project content

Judgment Criteria

The project and presentation will be judged by:

•  Creativity, quality & originality

•  Applicability and practicability

•  Application of technology

•  Clear communication of key areas, approaches & arguments

•  Clarity and organization of presentation

•  Relevance and clarity of presentation materials

•  Team dynamics (for group-based submission)

Presentation Session

A presenter from the Chinese University of Hong Kong is demonstrating how to use their self-developed apps to lock the door by individual identity during presentation.

Mr. Fang from the City University of Hong Kong is presenting his topic “Code Visualization and Grading” followed by a 10-min Q&A session.

Ms. Wong from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University is presenting her findings on the topic of “Simple Fluorescent DNA Detection Based on Quantum Dots and Gold Nanoparticles Coupled with Isothermal Amplification”.

Mr. Deng from the Chinese University of Hong Kong is presenting his topic of “Learning to Recognize Pedestrian Attribute”.
